Campers who are going into the 3rd through 5th grade and have a love for horses are welcome to join the Wranglers in a fun-filled 2 or 1 week session. Each activity day at Cedars, the Junior Riding Campers will take the best parts of main camp and combine it with two hours of horsemanship with the horses.

Daily Schedule:  1/2-days of riding camp and 1/2-days of camp activites as listed below. Daily free swim.

The Junior Riding Campers will learn ways to further express God with the horses, knot tying, leading a horse, grooming, riding skills, and many other adventures. If the camper chooses to do riding on trip day, he or she will be experiencing an extravaganza of horseplay, a great cookout, and just hanging out with the horses. The activities will be based on the riding level of each Junior Riding Camper.

Riding programs have the possibility to explore the wider equine industry. Examples could include visiting or participating in a horse show or rodeo, visiting equine professionals like a blacksmith or leather crafter, tack and feed store, visiting a horse lesson clinic, going on an off-camp extended trail ride, or visiting a public parks. Campers are supervised in public spaces.
